A survey conducted by National Public Radio/Kaiser Family Foundation/Kennedy School of Government, released on September 7, 1999 shows that there is strong support by both parents and non-parents for Making students meet adequate academic standards to be promoted/graduate. Those surveyed believe that education is a top national issue rating in the first three problems along with crime (number 1) and drugs.

The results of this survey are based on a nationwide telephone interviews with 1,422 adults. You can read and/or take the survey by visiting National Public Radio's website at: http://www.npr.org/

Business Education Demonstration Sites
Five high schools were selected this year to host visitors from throughout the State:

Arroyo Grande
Chaffey
Fresno
Montclair
Chaffey

Sites are selected through a competitive process. Exemplary sites who are implementing a Business Career Path are chosen to participate. A Demonstration site provides technical assistance via products, on-site visitation, and assessment data to visiting individuals and groups.
